Calipers are rebuilt with genuine Girling or Lockheed seals where available and original specification grade pistons. Uprated calipers are available with stainless steel pistons. All calipers are available "unloaded" without any brake pads, or "loaded" with brake pads of differing performance grades of your choosing. Calipers are available with painted finishes or original plated finishes.

 

Master cylinders can also be rebuilt. Cylinder bodies are replated to match the orignial finish and plastic resevoirs, if original, are replaced with new. Again, an effort is made to use genuine Girling or Lockheed seal kits if these kits are still available for a particular cylinder. When worthwhile in order to save many rare original cylinders, we are able to sleeve the bore of the cylinders to renew their seal surfaces. 

 

We also rebuild rare or unavailable drum brake wheel cylinders.

 

 

Many British cars featured devises that would illuminate a light on the dashboard in the event of a brake system failure.  Wishbone Classics is able to fully rebuild these original units, using new seals and new switches.  We have even produced stainless steel sliding pistons and offer this is a premium option.

 

 

Many brake servos are now at the end of their life. Often their demise is accelerated by the leakage of brake fluid into the servo body, which deteriorates the vacuum diaphragm. All servos are rebuilt to as new with new rubber diaphragms. Finishes are durable powdercoat in the correct original color or plated if plating was original.
